Welcome to Baking with Barbs. The terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Baking with Barbs. We operate this website and online store via Shopify to provide products and services to our customers (the “Services”).
These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) apply to all purchases made via our website and use of our Services. 1. ELIGIBILITY & ACCOUNTS
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase from us or have permission from a parent or guardian. You agree that all information you provide is accurate, complete, and up to date. You are responsible for keeping your account details (including passwords) secure.
2. OUR PRODUCTS
We take reasonable care to ensure that product details, descriptions, and prices on the website are correct. However, all content is provided “as is” and may occasionally include inaccuracies or typographical errors.
Due to the handmade nature of our products and screen variations, actual items may differ slightly in appearance. All products are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time.
3. ORDER PROCESS
Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to reject or cancel orders for any reason. You will receive an order confirmation email once your payment is processed, but this does not constitute acceptance until dispatch.
Orders cannot usually be amended or cancelled once confirmed. Please contact us immediately if there is a problem. Your statutory right to cancel (see Section 9) may still apply in certain cases.
4. PRICING & PAYMENT
All prices are in GBP (£) and include VAT (if applicable). Prices exclude delivery charges unless stated. Prices may change at any time, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed.
Payments are processed securely via Shopify Payments or other third-party processors. By placing an order, you confirm that the payment details provided are valid and authorised.
5. DELIVERY
Delivery times provided are estimates only. We are not responsible for delays once your order is dispatched. Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery.
We deliver within the UK only. For made-to-order items (e.g., cakes), delivery arrangements will be confirmed upon acceptance of the order.
6. CANCELLATION RIGHTS
If you are a UK consumer, you have a statutory right to cancel most online purchases within 14 days of receiving the goods under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. However, this right does not apply to perishable goods or items made to your specification (e.g., custom cakes or buns).
If cancellation is available, you must notify us in writing and return the goods in their original condition within 14 days. You will bear the return cost unless the item is faulty. A refund (excluding delivery costs) will be processed within 14 days of receipt.
7. RETURNS & REFUNDS
Due to the nature of our goods (fresh and perishable), we do not accept returns unless the product is damaged or faulty upon delivery. If your order is incorrect or damaged, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with photographic evidence. Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method.

8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content on our website, including logos, images, designs, and recipes, is the property of Baking with Barbs or our licensors and is protected under UK copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or exploit our content without written permission.
9. FEEDBACK & REVIEWS
If you submit reviews or suggestions, you grant us the right to use, reproduce, and display such content for business purposes. You must not post any unlawful, offensive, or misleading content.
10. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
We may use third-party tools or services (e.g., Shopify) to operate our business. Your use of such services is subject to their own terms, which we do not control. We are not liable for any damage or loss resulting from your use of third-party services.
11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
Subject to that, Baking with Barbs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising out of your use of the Services or products.
