Hi, my name is Barbara and I'm originally from Portugal. At 19, I moved to the UK on my own to study at university. It took me a few years and plenty of questions and uncertainty to find out who I truly was and what made me happy. At 24, I realised that all I wanted was a simple, happy life, built around something I love. And when I looked inward, it had always been there: baking and sharing my bakes with others.

Baking with Barbs was born from my desire to create a brand that feels like a warm hug from a loved one. To craft products that are more than just sweet treats, but little reminders of comfort, warmth, happiness, and love.

From the Heart to Your Home
My journey with baking started when I was a little girl, making “dessert menus” for my family every night. I couldn’t get over the excitement of baking for the people I loved. I can’t believe that little girl turned her passion into something bigger, a business where people can come to her and ask her to create a moment for them and their loved ones when celebrating something special in their lives.
